The Role
We are seeking a confident and experienced Account Director to lead key client relationships and ensure the successful delivery of our digital services. You will act as the strategic lead on your accounts, guiding clients through complex technical projects while ensuring high standards of delivery, service and collaboration. This role is client-facing and requires a balance of strategic insight, commercial awareness and strong people leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, building strong, long-term relationships
Provide strategic direction and ensure that digital solutions align with client goals
Maintain oversight of account health and proactively identify areas for improvement or growth
Manage client expectations, resolve escalations and ensure overall satisfaction
Project Oversight and Delivery
Work closely with project managers and technical leads to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard
Maintain a clear view of project scope, priorities and dependencies across accounts
Ensure that all work delivered meets both client and internal standards of quality
Commercial and Financial Management
Take ownership of account financials including forecasting, budget management and profitability
Identify and pursue opportunities for organic account growth
Collaborate with the leadership team on new business opportunities, proposals and pitches
Team and Culture
Foster a collaborative and supportive environment across account, delivery and development teams
Promote and live Cold Banana’s core values in every aspect of your work
What We Are Looking For
At least 5 years’ experience in a digital agency or technical consultancy, with at least 1 years in a senior account role
Proven ability to manage complex digital projects and technical programmes of work
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and advise clients
Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding technical concepts
Demonstrated success in managing account financials and contributing to commercial growth
Experience managing teams, developing talent and fostering a positive team culture
Familiarity with Agile delivery and digital project management practices
Professional qualifications such as Prince2 or PMP are beneficial but not essential
